Thank you for visiting the website of Dots 2 Tots our day nursery in Chatteris (Cambridgeshire). We are very proud of our nursery and look forward to showing you the happy and fun atmosphere we’ve created. We take huge pleasure in helping our children develop and grow during their time with us. We are here to provide a fun and stimulating environment that prepares them well for their move on to ‘Big school’.
We take children from 3 months right up to 5 years when they take their first steps into primary school.
What makes us special
Our day Nursery in Chatteris is a safe and happy place where children are nurtured and beautifully cared for. Each child is special to us, we are like a big family. We carefully monitor and bond with each child, getting to know them and their parents and carers really well so that we can help them develop to the best of their potential in our care.
Our aim is for every child to leave us as happy, confident and well nurtured small people taking their steps out into the world.
We operate a strict security system within our Nursery, with all staff going through rigorous vetting and enhanced DBS checks. We take the health and safety of the children very seriously and have strong policies on welfare and protection.
We are set in a large converted house in Chatteris, set back from the road and flanked by two beautiful children's gardens. Upstairs is the Baby Room for babies from 3 months of age up to 2 years. We also have a comfortable sleep room with cots and beanbags next door too where babies can re-charge their batteries! Outside is a lovely fenced off Baby Garden with ball pit, and toddler units for outdoor play.
Downstairs we have the Toddler Room, where children transfer down at 2 years of age. Toddlers also have their own dedicated garden which allows free flow from their main room to outside, as much as possible.
At 3 years toddlers migrate through to Pre-School Room where they are carefully prepared for their transition on to "Big School" at the age of 4 and upwards. Pre-school also have their own large and well equipped garden, which has areas designated for wet play and shady play when the weather is warm. We also have recently set up a fantastic mud kitchen where children (and staff) have been having a whale of a time making mud pies, mud dinners and just generally getting fabulously muddy! Our staff team have recently also had two members who have undertaken Forest School training and have been implementing that in the children's curriculum.
